These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) are intended to define the conditions of membership, use of services, and other necessary matters concerning the services provided by FBT Research Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”) between the Association and its users (hereinafter referred to as “Members”).

Article 2 (Definitions)

“FBT Research Association” refers to the business entity that operates a website and virtual business space using information and communication facilities such as computers to provide goods or services to users.

“User” refers to both Members and non-members who access or visit the FBT Research Association website and use the services provided by the Association in accordance with these Terms.

“Member” refers to a person who has registered as a member by providing personal information to the FBT Research Association, continuously receives information from the Association, and is entitled to continuously use the services provided by the Association.

“Non-member” refers to a person who uses the services provided by the FBT Research Association without registering as a Member.

Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of Terms)

The FBT Research Association shall post the contents of these Terms, its business name, and contact information (telephone, fax, e-mail address, etc.) on the initial service screen of the website so that users can easily review them.

The FBT Research Association may amend these Terms to the extent that such amendments do not violate relevant laws, including but not limited to the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Framework Act on Electronic Transactions, the Electronic Signature Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization, the Act on Door-to-Door Sales, and the Consumer Protection Act.

In the event of an amendment to these Terms, the Association shall specify the effective date and reasons for the amendment and post such information together with the current Terms on the initial screen of the website from at least seven (7) days prior to the effective date until the day before the effective date.

Amended Terms shall apply only to contracts concluded after the effective date of the amendment. Contracts concluded prior to the amendment shall continue to be governed by the previous Terms unless a user expresses consent to the amended Terms during the notice period and the Association agrees thereto.

Matters not specified in these Terms and the interpretation thereof shall be governed by relevant laws, government guidelines for electronic commerce consumer protection, or customary practices.

Article 4 (Provision and Modification of Services)

The FBT Research Association provides the following services:

Provision of information on goods or products and conclusion of purchase contracts

Other services determined by the FBT Research Association

The FBT Research Association may change the contents of goods or products to be provided under future contracts in the event of product unavailability or changes in technical specifications.

The Association shall not be liable for damages suffered by users due to changes in contracted services caused by product unavailability or technical specification changes, unless such damages are caused by the Association’s willful misconduct or negligence.

Article 5 (Suspension of Services)

The FBT Research Association may temporarily suspend the provision of services in cases such as maintenance, replacement, or failure of information and communication equipment, or interruption of communications.

In the event of service suspension pursuant to Paragraph 1, the Association shall notify users in the manner specified in Article 8.

The Association shall not be liable for any damages incurred by users or third parties due to temporary service suspension, unless such damages are caused by the Association’s willful misconduct or negligence.

Chapter 2 Membership Agreement
Article 6 (Membership Registration)

Users who wish to use the FBT Research Association’s services shall apply for membership by completing the registration form prescribed by the Association and indicating their agreement to these Terms.

The Association shall register applicants as Members unless the applicant falls under any of the following cases:

The applicant has previously lost membership qualification pursuant to Article 7, Paragraph 3, unless three (3) years have elapsed since such loss and re-registration approval has been granted by the Association.

The application contains false information, omissions, or errors, or registration is deemed to cause significant technical difficulty to the Association.

The membership agreement shall be deemed concluded when the user completes the membership registration process, unless the Association notifies the user of rejection.

Members shall promptly notify the Association of any changes to their registered information via e-mail or other methods.

Article 7 (Withdrawal and Loss of Membership)

Members may request withdrawal from the FBT Research Association at any time, and the Association shall process such withdrawal immediately.

The Association may restrict or suspend a Member’s qualification if the Member falls under any of the following:

Registration of false information during application

Failure to pay fees or other obligations related to goods or services purchased through the Association

Interfering with other users’ use of the Association or misappropriating their information

Engaging in acts prohibited by law, these Terms, or public order and morals

If the same violation is repeated two or more times or is not corrected within thirty (30) days after suspension, the Association may revoke the Member’s qualification.

In the event of revocation, the Association shall delete the Member’s registration and notify the Member, providing an opportunity to submit an explanation prior to deletion.

Article 8 (Notice to Members)

Notices to Members shall be sent to the e-mail address provided by the Member.

Notices to an unspecified number of Members may be substituted by posting such notice on the Association’s website for at least one (1) week.

Chapter 3 Obligations of the Association and Users
Article 9 (Protection of Personal Information)

The FBT Research Association collects the minimum personal information necessary to perform purchase contracts. Required information includes:

Name, resident registration number (for members), identity, mobile phone number, e-mail address, and license number (for nurses)

The Association shall obtain user consent when collecting personally identifiable information, except in the following cases:

Where required by law

Where necessary for the performance of electronic transaction contracts

Where necessary for settlement of payments

Personal information provided shall not be used for purposes other than those intended or provided to third parties without user consent. The Association bears full responsibility for any violations, except as provided below:

Where information is provided in a form that does not identify individuals for statistical, academic, or market research purposes

Where user consent is required, the Association shall inform users in advance of the identity of the personal information manager, purposes of collection and use, and details of third-party provision in accordance with relevant laws. Users may withdraw consent at any time.

Users may request access to or correction of their personal information at any time, and the Association shall promptly take necessary measures.

The Association shall limit the number of administrators handling personal information and assumes full responsibility for damages caused by loss, theft, leakage, alteration, or damage of personal information.

Personal information shall be promptly destroyed once the purpose of collection or provision has been achieved.

Article 10 (Obligations of the Association)

The FBT Research Association shall not engage in acts prohibited by law or public morals and shall endeavor to provide goods and services continuously and reliably.

The Association shall establish security systems to protect users’ personal and credit information.

The Association shall compensate users for damages caused by unfair or misleading advertisements in accordance with applicable laws.

The Association shall not send unsolicited commercial advertising e-mails.

Article 11 (Obligations Regarding ID and Password)

Responsibility for managing IDs and passwords rests with Members, except as provided in Article 15.

Members shall not allow third parties to use their ID or password.

Members shall bear responsibility for damages caused by insufficient management, negligence, or unauthorized use by third parties.

Members who become aware of theft or unauthorized use of their ID or password shall immediately notify the Association and follow its instructions.

Article 12 (Obligations of Users)

Users shall not engage in the following acts:

Registering false information during application or modification

Altering information posted by the Association

Transmitting or posting unauthorized information such as computer programs

Infringing intellectual property rights of the Association or third parties

Damaging the reputation of or interfering with the business of the Association or third parties

Posting obscene, violent, or otherwise inappropriate content contrary to public morals

Chapter 4 Miscellaneous
Article 13 (Linked Sites)

The FBT Research Association shall not be responsible for transactions conducted between users and independently operated linked sites.

Article 14 (Dispute Resolution)

The Association shall establish and operate a compensation handling mechanism to address legitimate user complaints and damages.

Disputes between the Association and users may be resolved through mediation by the Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee in accordance with applicable laws.

Article 15 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)

Legal disputes related to electronic transactions between the Association and users shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts as prescribed by the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.

These Terms and related disputes shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

Article 16 (Supplementary Provisions)

Matters not stipulated in these Terms shall be governed by the Framework Act on Electronic Transactions, the Electronic Signature Act, the Act on Door-to-Door Sales, and other relevant laws.

Article 17 (Copyright and Restrictions on Use)

Copyrights and other intellectual property rights to works created by the FBT Research Association belong to the Association.

Users shall not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use information obtained through the Association for commercial purposes or provide such information to third parties without prior consent.

Effective Date: These Terms shall take effect on July 18, 2025.

Privacy Collection Consent (Required): View Terms

1. User Consent

The Site collects, uses, and provides personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy only when the user has agreed to this Privacy Policy.

2. Special Measures for Minors Under the Age of 14

This Site is not intended for children under the age of 14. The Site does not knowingly collect information from children under 14. Parents and guardians are encouraged to supervise their children’s Internet use and the provision of personal information online.

Membership registration information voluntarily provided by users during sign-up

User inquiries, e-mails, contact requests, suggestions, and chat communications

The Site may request personal information in connection with specific services (e.g., newsletter subscription, consultation) or special events (e.g., lotteries, giveaways). At each stage of collection, the Site indicates which information is required and which is optional.

Even if users do not directly provide information, certain information may be collected implicitly through technical means such as IP addresses, cookies, Internet tags, and navigational data when users use the Site.

IP Address: The Site may use IP addresses. An IP address is a number assigned to a user’s computer by an Internet service provider. Since IP addresses are often dynamic and not fixed to a specific individual, they are generally not considered personally identifiable. The Site may use IP addresses for purposes such as diagnosing server issues, understanding overall user trends, finding the fastest way for users to access the Site, and managing and improving the Site.

Cookies: A cookie is a small amount of information sent by a website to a user’s web browser and stored on the user’s computer. Cookies help websites remember users and their preferences to improve usability. The Site may use cookies.

Session Cookies: Session cookies are temporary cookies that are deleted when the user closes the browser or turns off the computer. They are used to facilitate navigation and collect aggregate user information. The Site may use session cookies.

Internet Tags (also known as single-pixel GIFs, clear GIFs, invisible GIFs, 1-by-1 GIFs): Internet tags contain less information than cookies and may provide certain information (such as IP address and browser details) to the website server. The Site may use Internet tags.

Navigational Data (also known as log files, server logs, clickstream data): This data may be used for system administration, improving website content, market research, and providing information to users. The Site may use navigational data.

4. Rights to Access, Correct, and Delete Personal Information

Users may request access to, correction of errors in, or deletion of their personal information provided to the Site, and may withdraw any consent previously given. The Site will verify the user’s identity and promptly take necessary actions.

Users may withdraw their consent given at the time of membership registration through the “Check and Edit Personal Information” menu or by clicking the relevant link. If a user requests correction of errors, the Site will not use the relevant personal information until such errors are corrected.

Users may also refuse to receive various informational communications from the Site. If a user has subscribed to the Site’s mailing service, each message will include instructions for unsubscribing.

5. Retention, Use, Retention Period, and Disposal of Personal Information

While a user is receiving services provided by the Site, the user’s personal information will be retained by the Site and used only for providing the services.

Personal information provided during service use may be retained as long as the Site continues its business operations and may be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy. However, membership registration information will be automatically disposed of when the user withdraws membership or is removed from membership, unless retention is required for unavoidable reasons, in which case the Site will obtain the user’s consent.

In addition, if a user does not log in for one (1) year while using the services after signing up, the Site may terminate the user’s membership status.

6. Technical Measures for Security and Privacy Protection

The Site takes appropriate measures to protect personal information transmitted by users through computers and to safeguard such information from loss, misuse, unauthorized disclosure, alteration, or damage.

Users should be aware that transmission of information over the Internet is not 100% secure. E-mails sent to and from the Site may not be secure; therefore, users should take special care in deciding what information to transmit via e-mail. Furthermore, responsibility for the secure use of passwords, IDs, and other means of accessing the Site rests with the user.

7. Links to Other Websites

The Site may contain links to other websites or refer to other websites. The Site has no control over such websites, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them. Users are encouraged to review the privacy policies of any websites they visit.

Use of this Site is subject to the Site’s legal notices.
