Terms of Use

Chapter 1. General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

  • These Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) are intended to define the conditions for membership and use of services provided by FBT Research Society (hereinafter referred to as the “Society”), as well as other necessary matters between the Society and users (hereinafter referred to as the “Members”).

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • 1. “FBT Research Society” refers to a virtual business platform operated by the Society, established to provide goods or services to users through information and communication facilities such as computers.
  • 2. “User” refers to any person, whether a Member or non-member, who accesses or visits the FBT Research Society and receives services provided by the Society in accordance with these Terms.
  • 3. “Member” refers to a person who has registered by providing personal information to the FBT Research Society and is entitled to continuously receive information and use the services provided by the Society.
  • 4. “Non-member” refers to a person who uses the services provided by the FBT Research Society without registering as a Member.

Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)

  • 1. The FBT Research Society shall post the contents of these Terms, including its business name and contact information (telephone, fax, email address, etc.), on the initial service screen of the website so that users may easily access them.
  • 2. The Society may amend these Terms to the extent that such amendments do not violate applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Framework Act on Electronic Commerce, the Digital Signature Act, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the Door-to-Door Sales Act, and the Consumer Protection Act.
  • 3. In the event of amendment, the Society shall specify the effective date and reasons for the amendment and notify users by posting the revised Terms on the initial screen of the website at least seven (7) days prior to the effective date.
  • 4. The amended Terms shall apply only to contracts concluded on or after the effective date. Contracts concluded prior to the effective date shall remain subject to the previous Terms unless the user expressly agrees to apply the amended Terms within the notice period and the Society consents thereto.
  • 5. Matters not stipulated herein and interpretation of these Terms shall be governed by applicable laws, regulations, and commercial practices.

Article 4 (Provision and Modification of Services)

  • 1. The Society provides the following services:
  • ● Provision of information on goods or products and conclusion of purchase agreements
  • ● Other services as determined by the FBT Research Society
  • 2. The Society may modify the contents of goods or services to be provided under future contracts in the event of product discontinuation or changes in technical specifications.
  • 3. The Society shall not be liable for damages incurred by users due to temporary changes in service content, except where such damages result from intentional misconduct or negligence on the part of the Society.

Article 5 (Suspension of Services)

  • 1. The Society may temporarily suspend services due to maintenance, replacement, breakdown of information and communication facilities, or interruption of communication services.
  • 2. In such cases, the Society shall notify users in accordance with Article 8.
  • 3. The Society shall not be liable for damages incurred by users or third parties due to service suspension unless caused by intentional misconduct or negligence of the Society.

Chapter 2. Membership Agreement

Article 6 (Membership Registration)

  • 1. A user may apply for membership by completing the registration form provided by the Society and expressing consent to these Terms.
  • 2. The Society shall register the applicant as a Member unless:
  • ● The applicant previously lost membership under Article 7(3), except where three (3) years have elapsed and re-registration is approved;
  • ● The application contains false information, omissions, or errors;
  • ● Registration is deemed technically inappropriate by the Society.
  • 3. The Society shall not be liable for damages incurred by users or third parties due to service suspension unless caused by intentional misconduct or negligence of the Society.
  • 4. Members shall promptly notify the Society of any changes to their registered information.

Article 7 (Termination and Loss of Membership)

  • 1. Members may request withdrawal at any time, and the Society shall promptly process such request.
  • 2. The Society may restrict or suspend membership if the Member:
  • ● Provides false information upon registration;
  • ● Fails to fulfill payment obligations;
  • ● Interferes with others’ use of the service or violates electronic commerce order;
  • ● Engages in unlawful or immoral conduct.
  • 3. The Society may terminate membership if the same violation is repeated twice or more, or if the cause is not remedied within 30 days.
  • 4. In such cases, the Member shall be notified and given an opportunity to present an explanation prior to termination.

Article 8 (Notice to Members)

  • 1. Notices shall be made via the email address submitted by the Member.
  • 2. For notices to multiple Members, posting on the website bulletin board for at least one week may substitute individual notice.

Chapter 3. Obligations of the Society and Users

Article 9 (Personal Information Protection)

  • The Society shall collect only the minimum necessary personal information required to fulfill service contracts. Required information includes:
  • ● Name
  • ● Resident Registration Number (for Members)
  • ● Identification
  • ● Mobile phone number
  • ● Email address
  • ● Nursing license number (if applicable)
  • Personal information shall not be used for purposes other than those agreed upon without consent, except as required by law. Users may request access to and correction of their personal information at any time. The Society shall implement appropriate security measures and destroy personal information without delay upon achieving the purpose of collection.

Article 10 (Obligations of the Society)

  • 1. The Society shall comply with applicable laws and these Terms.
  • 2. The Society shall maintain appropriate security systems to protect users’ personal information.
  • 3. The Society shall be liable for damages resulting from unfair or deceptive advertising.
  • 4. The Society shall not send unsolicited commercial emails.

Article 11 (Member ID and Password)

  • Members are responsible for managing their ID and password and shall not allow third parties to use them. Any damages arising from mismanagement shall be borne by the Member.

Article 12 (Obligations of Users)

  • Users shall not:
  • 1. Provide false information
  • 2. Alter posted information
  • 3. Post unauthorized programs or materials
  • 4. Infringe intellectual property rights
  • 5. Damage the reputation of the Society or others
  • 6. Post obscene, violent, or immoral content

Chapter 4. Miscellaneous

Article 13 (Linked Sites)

  • The Society shall not guarantee transactions conducted between users and independently operated linked sites.

Article 14 (Dispute Resolution)

  • The Society shall establish and operate a compensation system to address user complaints. Disputes may be resolved through the Electronic Commerce Dispute Mediation Committee.

Article 15 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)

  • 1. Legal disputes shall be brought before a competent court under Korean civil procedure law.
  • 2. Korean law shall govern all disputes.

Article 16 (Supplementary Provisions)

  • Matters not stipulated herein shall be governed by relevant laws and regulations.

Article 17 (Copyright and Restrictions on Use)

  • 1. Copyright and other intellectual property rights for works created by the FBT Research Society shall belong to the Society.
  • 2. Users shall not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute, broadcast, or otherwise use for commercial purposes any information obtained through the Society without prior written consent of the Society.
